Domino Plots is a domino logic puzzle set in a garden. The board is split into coloured plots, each with a rule on its badge. You have a tray of dominoes, each different, with 0 to 6 dots on each half. Lay every domino so the board is covered and every plot keeps its rule. Each level has one answer.

A number badge is the total of the dots in that plot. A badge such as <6 means the total is under 6, and >6 means over 6. An = badge means every square in the plot shows the same number, and ≠ means no two match. Sand squares have no rule. Drag a domino onto two touching squares, or tap it and then a square; tap a chosen domino again to turn it. Drag it off the board to send it back.

Badges turn green when a plot is right and red when it is broken, and a square no domino can reach pulses red. Par is the number of dominoes. Finishing within a few moves of par earns three stars, and within twice par earns two. The hint sends a wrong domino back or places the next one logic can prove, and caps the level at two stars. Sixty boards run from Seed Trays to Great Estates, with a daily board.

Worked example

A two-square plot marked <2 must total 0 or 1, so its halves show 0 and 0, or 0 and 1. Look in the tray for dominoes with a blank or a 1; often only a few are left, and one of them has to reach that plot.

Strategy tips

Start with extremes. Very low and very high totals leave the fewest choices.

Use the tray. Every domino is different, so a number one plot needs is a number another plot cannot have.

Cover awkward squares. A square with only one free neighbour tells you where a domino must lie.
