Tile Lifter is a bridge-building puzzle in which the floor is your inventory. You stand on tiles over a dark void and need to reach the glowing exit. You can lift the floor tile you are facing, carry it, and place it into the void you are facing to make a bridge. You carry one tile at a time, so every bridge is floor taken from somewhere else.

Controls turn first: pressing a new direction turns you to face it, and pressing it again walks. This lets you face the tile you just left. Space, Enter or the round button lifts or places. Tapping a neighbouring tile turns or walks too. The exit and rocks cannot be lifted, nor can a tile with a crate on it. Push a crate into the void and it sinks to become a floor tile, which you can later lift like any other. If the exit can no longer be reached, the game warns you that you are stranded.

Par counts every action, turns included. Matching it earns three stars, and up to three over earns two. Undo takes back an action. The hint shows the next action on a shortest route and caps the level at two stars. Sixty levels run from First Steps to Deep Void, with a daily level.

Worked example

You stand at the edge of a gap with no loose tiles left. Turn to face the tile you just walked in from, lift it, turn back, place it in the void ahead and walk onto it. Five actions carry you one square further, lifting the floor from behind you as you go.

Strategy tips

Count the tiles. Check whether the loose tiles are enough, or whether you must lift floor you have stood on.

Crates are free floor. Sinking a crate fills a gap without spending a tile.

Look behind you. The tile you arrived on is often the one you need next.
