Tumble Die is a rolling dice puzzle. Each move tips the die over one edge onto the next square, so the face on top changes with every roll. Roll with the arrow keys, WASD, a swipe or the on-screen pad. The die starts with 1 on top, 2 facing you and 3 on the right, and opposite faces always add up to 7. Empty void squares block the die.
To finish, stop on the exit with the number shown on its flag facing up, after collecting every star on the board. Coloured gate tiles only let the die in if it lands showing that number; otherwise it bumps back and a message tells you what it would have shown. A small net under the board shows the five faces you can see, so you can plan a route without turning the die in your head.
Par is the fewest rolls. Matching it earns three stars, and up to four over earns two. Every roll can be rolled back, so no position is ever a dead end, and undo is free. The hint lights up the next roll on a shortest route and caps the level at two stars. Sixty boards run from First Rolls to Grand Tour, with a daily board.
Worked example
Roll right once and the 4, which was facing left, comes up on top. Roll right again and the 6 comes up. Two more rolls right bring the 1 back. So an exit two squares to the right that wants a 6 takes two rolls, but one four squares away needs a detour to turn the die over.
Strategy tips
Four rolls make a loop. Rolling four times in one direction returns the same face to the top.
Use side steps. A roll up or down changes which faces a later sideways roll will bring up.
Set up before gates. Arrange the right number a roll or two before you reach a gate.
