Untangle is a puzzle of dots and lines. Drag a dot to move it, or tap a dot and then tap the spot where it should go; its lines follow it. A line is red while it crosses another line or runs through a dot, and it turns green once it is clear. Clear every crossing to solve the web.
There is a twist. Only a few dots are out of place, and the rest of the web is already laid out without crossings. Par is the fewest drags that can solve the web, and it is proven, so the real puzzle is spotting the strays before you move anything. Solving in par drags earns three stars, and up to two drags over earns two. Undo takes back a drag.
Sixty webs run across five tiers, from First Knots with about seven dots to Master Webs with about twenty, and there is a daily web. The hint lights up one stray and marks its spot with a dashed ring; tap the ring or drag the dot there. Following the hints solves any web in par drags, and using one caps that web at two stars.
Worked example
Look for a dot whose lines are all red and unusually long, stretching right across the board. That is almost certainly a stray. Nearby there is usually a gap in the tidy mesh, ringed by the very dots it connects to. Move the stray there and several lines turn green at once. The dot caught in the most crossings is often innocent: its lines are only red because a stray's lines cut through them.
Strategy tips
Count before you drag. Par tells you how many strays there are. Find them all first, then move each one once.
Read the mesh. The untouched part of the web shows the shape the finished drawing should have.
Tap to place on a phone. Tapping a dot and then its spot is steadier than a long drag.
